By Bus:
The bus
fare
is currently £1 for a single journey ticket (exact change
required),
take the 10 - from
the garden side of Princes Street,
or the 27 - Hanover
Street, and ask to be let off at Granville Terrace.
The Airport Bus
runs
throughout the day and evening to the city centre,and the single fare
is
currently £3.30
from the centre of
town you can either take a bus, taxi or walk (if you don't have to much
luggage).
Note it is a two
mile walk from Waverly train station (at the East end of the city
centre) to the Guesthouse.
If you intend to walk we advise you get off the train or airport
bus at Haymarket Station at the West end
of the city centre. The walk (via Dalry Road and Yeaman Place) is
then less than one mile.
By Car: (See Map Below)
The most direct
route
into Edinburgh is via the City Bypass (A720),
from
the M8 join the
bypass travelling south, or west if arriving via the A1,
exit at the
Lothianburn
Junction (A702) into the city centre,
head in to the city
centre for approximately 3 miles on the A702.
Directly
opposite
the Kings Theatre at a traffic light junction,
turn left onto Gilmore
Place
(also named Lochrin Buildings),
continue along
Gilmore
Place, and straight over the next set of traffic lights,
and the guest house
is 300yds up the road on a corner position on the right.
By Taxi:
A taxi from the Waverly Railway Station will cost
approximately
£5-£7
from the Airport, approximately £12-£15
